They Never Thought This Day Would Come: The Power of a Day Without Latinos
For decades, they have taken us for granted. They have exploited our labor, relied on our businesses, cashed in on our spending power—yet they treat us as disposable. They send ICE to tear apart our families. They demonize us in the media. They tell us to “go back” while building their wealth off our backs.
WHEN? Monday, February 3, 2025
But what happens when Latinos disappear for a day?
The United States economy doesn’t run without Latinos. It’s a fact. We contribute over $3.2 trillion annually—more than the entire economies of Mexico and Brazil. We are the construction workers who build their cities, the farmworkers who harvest their food, the restaurant staff who serve their meals, the nurses who care for their families, the teachers who educate their children.
Yet, despite our value, we are constantly under attack.
The Wake-Up Call: A Day Without Latinos
On February 3, 2025, we will show them what happens when Latinos refuse to be ignored. No work. No shopping. No school. No participation in the economy. We will remind them that without us, their businesses fail, their cities slow to a crawl, and their economy crumbles.
This is not just a protest. This is power.
The Economic Truth They Don’t Want You to Know
- Latinos are the backbone of the American workforce—one in five U.S. workers is Latino.
- We contribute hundreds of billions in taxes every year.
- Our businesses generate over $800 billion annually and employ millions.
- We are responsible for nearly 25% of consumer spending in major industries.
So what happens when we disappear for just one day? Billions will be lost. Wall Street will panic. CEOs will call emergency meetings. Politicians will be forced to acknowledge what they have always known but refused to admit: Latinos hold the power.
They Hunt Us, But They Can’t Survive Without Us
Every dawn raid, every child left crying as ICE drags away their parents, every discriminatory law targeting our people—it all comes with a cost. They want our labor but not our humanity. They want our economic contributions but not our presence.
That ends now.
This Is More Than a Protest—It’s a Reckoning
We’re not asking. We’re showing.
On Monday, February 3, 2025, we prove our worth not with words, but with absence. Let the grocery stores go unstocked. Let the hospitals feel the strain. Let the construction sites stand silent. Let them feel what it means to lose us.
This is not just a day. This is the beginning of a movement.
Join us. Share this. Speak up. #DayWithoutLatinos
Because they never thought this day would come.
But it’s here.

You got it. Thanks for your interest and support
Definitely do it! I’m in the hotel industry. I’ve been working for Marriott for 22 years and one of my Marriott family members are Mexican or Latinos and I can’t wait to see the economy go under because of Trump and his cronies doing horrible things to these incredible people my father was an immigrant from Italy.
Interesting, I would love to know more.
Coming shortly. Thank you for your interest
Thank you so much for this…. Our time is now and it’s so much better inside as a human to know that our own is watched by our own. I’m not racist but this world is very much so. We can change the world but it is very important and convenient to have my people help and support knowing that I won’t be overlooked because of my ethnicity… Love thank you so much!
Absolutely, you nailed it on the head. We need to take care of our own!
This is phenomenal, I often fantasized about us rallying together and helping each other up the ranks in our communities. I write screenplays, that tend to be about the Mexican experience, and battling racial injustices — but with a twist of horror.
Your dreams have come true Eduardo! Looking forward to connecting with you and your vision

It’s now time to shine and show who we are as brown and being proud and being there for our culture and expressing and showing in a peaceful way how we could grow and have a representation is key. It makes me proud to hear that there’s still people out there that want to make cause to help support our Mexican people. I am a Mexican American and proud.
🔥Awesome Cecilia! The time is now!
I have been waiting for something like this to come up for a long time. This has the potential to link all types of Mexicans, from the Mejicano to Mexican Americans to Chicanos to Americans of Mexican descent, Central and South American. The time is now. Our society has us divided amongst ourselves. Its an old concept that continues to be effective, Divide and Conquer. We must look at the big picture, we must see past boundries, borders or neighborhoods All of us together, We can be very powerful. I believe Brown Rock has the potential to make a difference. Send me more information. I want to be a part of this
